Message in a Bottle

Mainly aims to build a friendly relationships between the civil societies of Somalia and Japan.

Nowadays it is easy to contact with people overseas by the Internet, so by exchanging letters with pen-pal it will give certain appreciations for interacting with someone through letters. This is because the concept of "message in a bottle" requires imagination and creative thinking to connect with someone. Such interactions hold the potential to give people to be more creative and "take action" in stepping into the society and dealing with real-life problems.

The letters from Japanese participants were successfully delivered to the Somali people by the JSYO members in March 2014, as their hand-written reply came across the ocean and reached the hands of the Japanese.
